What size bus do you need to rent for your group
Go by headcount. Up to 23 people take the 23 seater, 24 to 45 take the 45 seater, 46 to 49 take the 49 seater, and a full 50 takes the 50 seater. Above 50, SGBUS.sg sends more than one bus and times them to arrive together.
Two things change that. If the pickup is deep inside a housing estate on narrow roads, the 23 seater gets in where a coach struggles. And if your group sits just under a size boundary, the bigger bus is often the better buy: 45 seats at $100 works out cheaper per person than 23 seats at $85. Short answer
Bus rental in Singapore starts at $85 for a 23 seater, $100 for a 45 seater, $110 for a 49 seater and $120 for a 50 seater, per one way transfer with SGBUS.sg. Hourly hire is $50, $60, $70 and $80 an hour for the 23, 45, 49 and 50 seaters, with a four hour minimum.
Every figure includes the driver, fuel, ERP and parking. Waiting is free within the allowance on every transfer. Midnight running and gazetted public holidays carry a small per vehicle charge, both set out in full on the rates page.

What changes the price of a bus rental
Only three things move the price: the size of the bus, whether you book it as a transfer or by the hour, and a short list of surcharges for waiting, extra stops, midnight running and public holidays. Driver, fuel, ERP and parking are already inside every SGBUS.sg figure.
- How you book it. One way, return, or by the hour. Hourly has a four hour minimum.
- Airport or not. Changi runs are priced on their own line, because they carry 45 minutes of free waiting after you land.
- Extra stops. $20 each on a transfer. Hourly hire has none, because the stops are already yours inside the block you booked.
- Waiting past the free allowance. $15 per 15 minutes.
- Meet and greet inside arrivals. $20, if you want someone waiting with a name board.
- Midnight running. $20 per bus.
- Gazetted public holidays. $30 per vehicle.
That is the entire list. There is no fuel levy, no ERP charge and no parking charge on top, because all three are already inside the figure you are quoted.
What three real bookings cost
- 40 people, office to a dinner venue, one way. One 45 seater, $100.
- 20 people landing at Changi, straight to the hotel. One 23 seater on the airport rate, $105, including 45 minutes of free waiting after the flight lands.

What to check before you book any bus in Singapore
Four things decide whether a bus booking goes wrong: what the price leaves out, whether the vehicle and driver are legal to carry your group, whether anyone answers on the day, and what happens if your plans move. What SGBUS.sg does not do
Four limits worth knowing before you spend time on a quote: no self drive, nothing outside Singapore, nothing outside the 23 to 50 seat range, and no hourly booking shorter than four hours.
- We do not rent a bus without a driver. There is no self drive option.
- We do not operate outside Singapore.
- We run nothing smaller than 23 seats and nothing larger than 50. Above 50 we put on a second bus.
- We do not take hourly bookings shorter than four hours.
Cancelling is free if you give us 72 hours or more. Between 24 and 72 hours you get half back, and inside 24 hours there is no refund. The full wording is in our terms.

LTA-compliant is worth spelling out, because it gets used loosely. It means the bus is registered with the Land Transport Authority to carry passengers for hire, and the driver holds the vocational licence LTA requires to drive it. Both are legal requirements here, so they are fair questions to ask of anyone quoting you.

Common questions about bus rental in Singapore
Do you do bus charter as well as bus rental?
They are the same service. Bus charter, bus rental and private bus hire all describe hiring a bus with a driver for your own group. Whichever you call it, the price starts at $85 and the full card is on our rates page.
How far ahead should I book a bus in Singapore?
A few days is usually enough, and a couple of weeks is safer for a large group or a public holiday. Same day is often possible if a vehicle is free, usually within one to two hours.
Do you provide a driver?
Yes. Every rental comes with a licensed driver. We do not rent buses without one.
Can I book a bus for today?

What is the largest bus you have?
A 50 seater. If your group is bigger than 50 we run more than one vehicle and set them to arrive together.
Do you go to Malaysia?
No. We operate within Singapore only.
Do I have to pay in full before the trip?
Yes. We take payment in full to lock a booking in, and it needs to reach us three days before your pickup date at the latest. Booking inside three days? Then we ask for it right away, because payment is what holds the vehicle against someone else. PayNow, bank transfer or cash all work. What we quote is what you pay, and no GST goes on top.
Booking often? We can put you on account instead. Schools and companies with runs every week get one bill at the end of the month rather than settling trip by trip. Hand us a PO number or cost code at booking and we will print it on the invoice.
What happens if we are late, and what happens if the driver is late?
If you are late, you get 15 minutes free on a standard pickup and 45 minutes from touchdown on an airport arrival. After that, waiting is charged at $15 per 15 minutes.
If we are late, our drivers are scheduled to arrive 15 minutes early for a standard pickup and 30 to 45 minutes early for an airport transfer. Traffic, an accident, a road closure or a breakdown can still happen. When it does we arrange a replacement as fast as we can and keep you updated.
The thing that prevents most late pickups is contact. We send you the driver's name and number before the trip. Call the driver 30 to 60 minutes before pickup. Most delays we see are not a bus stuck in traffic, they are a driver who cannot reach the group, or cannot reach the pickup point because it sits inside a private or restricted area that needed notice. If your pickup is inside a condo, a worksite, a school compound or anywhere with a barrier, tell us when you book and we arrange access in advance.
Can I add a stop after I have booked?
Yes, and the earlier you say so the better. A stop outside the route on your quote costs $20, charged on each bus in the job, and it has to be set up and paid before you travel. We do not hold you to a notice window, but a change is far easier while a vehicle is still free.

On hourly hire we do not count stops at all. The bus is booked to you for the block, so go where you need.
Will I get the bus size I actually booked?
You get the size you booked. The bus that turns up belongs to us and the driver is on our roster, so nobody outside the company decides what arrives at your pickup. A mechanical fault, or a bus grounded with no warning, is the only thing that changes that. You would hear it from us ahead of the day rather than at the kerb, the swap costs you nothing, and your driver waits with the group until the replacement reaches you.
