Privacy policy
How SGBUS.sg handles your personal data under Singapore Personal Data Protection Act. Written in plain English, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.

Who is responsible for your data
SGBUS.sg is the bus rental brand of SG Bus Rental (UEN 53379842J), operating since 2018 and reachable at 13 Flora Road, #05-02, Singapore 509733. That entity is the data controller for anything you send us.
Everything below applies whichever way you get in touch: the enquiry form, the quote calculator, WhatsApp, a phone call or an email.

What we ask you for
A bus booking needs surprisingly little. Here is the whole list, and why each item exists.

That is the lot. We never hold card numbers, and identification is requested only when a secured site makes it a condition of entry.
Why we collect it
- To quote your trip and confirm the booking
- To give the driver the pickup point, timing and your contact number
- To arrange site entry passes where a restricted location requires them
- To raise invoices and handle payment
- To respond if something goes wrong during the trip
- To keep records we are required to keep
Consent under the PDPA
Sending an enquiry or confirming a job counts as your agreement to the uses set out above. That agreement is not permanent. Tell us and we will stop, although withdrawing it part way through a live booking may mean we cannot finish running it.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum needed to run your trip, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
- Your driver. Name, contact number, pickup point and timing.
- Restricted site operators. Passenger names and identification, only where the site requires them for entry.
- Payment and accounting providers. Only what is needed to process payment and keep records.
- Authorities. Where we are legally required to disclose.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses cookies to keep the site working and to understand which pages people use. You can block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you booking, since bookings run through WhatsApp, phone and email.
How long we keep it
Nothing is held longer than the reason we collected it justifies. In practice the ceiling is 7 years, which is the window that covers booking, financial and licensing records for tax and accounting purposes.
Once that window closes, or once a record stops serving any purpose and no rule obliges us to keep it, the record is securely destroyed or stripped of anything identifying.
How we protect it
Only the staff running your job can see your details. The site is served over HTTPS. Passenger identification handed to a secured site for entry passes is not kept once the trip has been completed.
Your rights
The PDPA gives you four things you can ask of us:
- A copy of what we hold on you, and an account of how it has been used
- A correction, if any of it is inaccurate
- Withdrawal of your agreement to us using it
- Erasure, unless a legal obligation forces us to keep it
